At dinner, the wife serves her stepdaughter Lin Xiaoning a chicken drumstick, but her husband Lin Xiuwen erupts, accusing her of favoritism. Finally, she snaps, exposing their hypocrisy: Her mother-in-law gave Lin Xiuwen property and funds, and they’d schemed to manipulate the sister-in-law’s marriage. The revelation triggers a violent family meltdown.
