Quinn and Wayne have been married for many years and have a daughter named Nina, who has been suffering from a severe heart condition since birth. One day, Nina's heart condition suddenly relapsed. Quinn rushed Nina to the hospital where her husband, Wayne, works as a doctor. Wayne informed Quinn that a suitable heart had been found for Nina, and that with the surgery, Nina would survive.
