Haunted Dreams
Le Zhi had dreamed of the same man countless times. In the dreams, they were constantly tangled up, unable to break free. But in reality, she already had a boyfriend, Zhou Kai, whom she had been in a stable relationship with for three years. The next day, Zhou Kai proposed to her. She was overjoyed but felt guilty because of the dreams, hoping that once she married her fiancé, she could finally get rid of the man in her dreams. She initially thought the man was just a fantasy, but it turned out he was Zhou Tingxiao, the ruthless boss of Han City, known as the "Living Yama" (a fearsome figure). The pear flower hairpin she left behind confirmed that the woman from his dreams was real. Unable to meet her in real life, Zhou Tingxiao resorted to entering her dreams. When he found out that she was about to marry, he was furious. And when he learned that she was marrying his nephew, Zhou Tingxiao decided to snatch her away, exposing the true nature of Zhou Kai, who cared more about money than about her. After they returned to his mansion, Zhou Tingxiao took great care of Le Zhi, teasing her at every turn. Every time she fell into danger, he would rescue her, gradually breaking down her defenses. Slowly, she began to develop feelings for him. Unexpectedly, Zhou Tingxiao was informed that the poison inside him was taking effect. Only one of them could survive. To avoid dragging Le Zhi down, he chose to let her go free. All of this was part of Zhou Kai's plot to seize control of the Zhou family. He poisoned them both, causing them to be bound together in dreams every night, and manipulated Zhou Tingxiao into marrying her and forcing love. In the end, this led to Zhou Tingxiao's poisoning. Together, Le Zhi and Zhou Tingxiao shattered Zhou Kai's plot, and because they were in love, they broke the poison's curse. They put aside their past grievances and started a new life together.
