Audrey Sterling's half-sister, Melody Sterling, commits manslaughter. Forced by her father, stepmother, and Melody to take the fall, Audrey flees. During her escape in the mountains, she sleeps with Vincent Vance, who was injured and slipped an aphrodisiac. Vincent leaves a jade pendant behind. Audrey is caught again by the Sterling family and drops the pendant, which Melody picks up to impersonate her. Ten months later, Audrey gives birth to quadruplets. Melody snatches and abandons the babies, then frames Audrey for murdering them, sending her to prison for five years. Upon release, Audrey is sold to the underground club by Melody's thugs. Hacker Deuce discovers Audrey is in danger and sends the highly skilled Ace to rescue her. Ace finds Vincent, claims him as his father, and urges him to save Audrey. Vincent questions Melody, mentioning that the woman from years ago had a flower-shaped birthmark. He demands to check both Audrey and Melody. Audrey has the birthmark, but Melody had already tattooed an identical one on herself. Just as Vincent thinks he misunderstood Melody, Ace mentions he did a paternity test. Ace's Master, Zane Lockhart, arrives with the results. The results show Ace isn't Vincent's biological son, as a city hospital was bribed to fake the test. Ace insists the test is fake. Then, Audrey's ex-boyfriend, Lionel Yates, steps in to claim Ace is his son. Vincent is suspicious but forced to believe it. Because of this, Vincent gives Melody the cold shoulder. To win him back, Melody plans to buy a painting at an auction as a gift for his Nana's birthday banquet. Later, Melody reappears and poisons Audrey and the children, using the antidote to blackmail Vincent into marrying her. Vincent and Audrey play along, exposing Melody's crimes at the engagement ceremony. Melody brings up saving Vincent years ago, but Gabriel Hayes arrives with evidence proving Audrey is the true savior. Finally, Melody is taken away by the police.
